Michael Zancan's Mystical Paintings

Here is an artist I saw a while back and his art stuck with me. It is just so beautiful and detailed and so realistic. It is almost like you can stare into his art and just wait for it to come alive. The colors are so vivid and really set the mood and emotion in the paintings. Each detail is so perfect, so real, and so captivating. They are all pieces you can look at for hours just examining each and every inch to take in the beauty of each one. These are paintings that have been well thought and planed and not rushed. They are truly gorgeous and easy to get lost in.

The rest of his work is a must see as well as the poetry that goes along with each piece. You can visit his website to see the rest of his works as well as some of his sketches and writing. It is all breathtaking!

To expand our views on the art world one artist at a time! Speaking of world, Amy does really amazing space paintings. The Beautiful Origami of Eric Joisel

Origami.. The art of folding paper. I have always been interested in it and thought it is really amazing how you can turn one piece of paper into an intricate 3D folded sculpture. Having done a little origami myself, I know just how tricky it is to fold the simplest of things. Just one fraction off on a fold can mess up the whole thing. This man takes origami to the next level creating such beautiful and wonderful pieces that look almost impossible to be one piece of paper. While looking through his work I was just in awe at all of his work and how detailed it all is. It is truly amazing!

Unclassified!
These are just a small few of his works and each one is just as intricate and wonderful. Take a minute to look at his website. I promise it wont disappoint!!
Saddly, while making this post , I learned he recently passed away of lung cancer. He will live on through his work and remembered for years to come.

Marc Doutherd

Absolutely lovely paintings by Marc Doutherd! I love the colors in all of his works and especially love that his paintings are not something you quickly look at. You really have to sit back and take your time to look at the detail and shapes and colors in each piece! The lions are my favorite but its a very close call to the rest. The colors flow together so nicely and remind me of flowing lava with some extra colors mixed in. You can really look at these pieces for hours and still find something you didn't see before and that is amazing in itself. I really do enjoy looking at these and hope you do as well. And as always .... There's More!! http://www.marcdoutherd.com  and Flickr
Go check it out!!

Words From the Artist
"I have been painting and rendering images since the age of three. I was considered to be a prodigy at 12 This characteristic seems to be genetic because most of my children have it. I play musical instruments, write and compose music. I see things in a spiritual way and always have in terms of my art. I love colors and the brighter the better. My work also incorporates a story of the subject matter and I have been told that they give off a warm energy that's felt by people standing near them.
I was signed this week by the California artist Mako Huges and her new high end gallery "TheGallerie". Represented by them exclusively. They feel our work compliments each others.
I am honored to be included in the collections of the gallery and now maybe I can get some more art done. They take very good care of me."

Pedal to the Metal!

http://ny-image1.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.153656465.jpghttp://ny-image0.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.181580568.jpghttp://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.170736046.jpg

Today we have some outstanding metal artwork from Jon Allen. He creates abstract pieces using aluminum panels and a grinder to create amazing textures, lighting effects, and colors. I really love metal art the way it is so dimensional and reflective. The different directions of the grinding and the pressure and depth create such dramatic designs in the metal. These pieces are just beautiful and so interesting. They are very flowing and smooth almost like liquid.

There are so many more great pieces with vibrant colors, shapes, and even some really great sculptures and clocks! These are also very reasonably priced so you can easily have one of these for yourself! So go check out the rest of Jon Allen!

From the Soul

I found Jo Jayson on facebook and fell completely in love with her artwork. She does elaborate collages that are deep with emotion. She puts passion and intense feelings into her artwork that give you a feeling of warmth and comfort, love and desire. Her vivid colors and amazing textures with glitter, butterflies, and flowers make the paintings come alive with radiance and beauty. You can really tell she creates each piece passionately and from her heart. She also does amazing murals with detailed scenes. They are all a must see!

                           Words from the Artist
I am passionate about the human form, color, texture and the insatiable mystery of life and its lessons. Using a combination of oil and collage, my intention is to create sensual, magical and inspiring journeys into the stories of life told by my paintings. My hope is that they 'sparkle' with inspiration - moving, touching and healing those who take the time to listen to their wisdom.

This amazing artwork and many others can be seen on her website and her mural website. And dont forget to "LIKE" her on her facebook page which also has her artwork. She also has a movie of her artwork here.

Fabulous Furniture!

I really like to find the things that are different and unique. Things that make people say "Where did you get that!" Things that I know are not your ordinary, everyday things. When shopping for furniture, I like to find things that make the room. I dont like to decorate with art, I like to have furniture that IS art and also functional. It really make the biggest difference in the feel of your home. I found this artist/furniture designer a while back. I dont even remember what I was searching for to begin with. David Delthony does exceptional work making furnature that is not only beautiful and  unique but functional as well.

And of course you can see more of his work and his process at his website here. Thank you for reading. I hope you enjoy my blog and please feel free to leave comments! I would love to know what you think!!!
