A little Me
Today I decided to post my newest piece. I havnt been working on my art as much as I should. This represents how I do most of my work. Its always a mess but turns out pretty! I always make the biggest messes when I am working on something. It looks like my desk only alot more pretty and girly! There are alot of details and it was hard to take pictures of!
This was alot of fun make! I used hot glue and crayons. I melted the crayons into the glue and added some random things around my room. Lace, a butterfly, some silk roses, some scrapbook scraps... I really like the way it turned out! It is available on my Etsy and you can see more of my stuff there as well. I also have a Flickr with some more of my photos and things. Just click the slideshow on the right sidebar! Oh, and tell me what you think about my collage!

Pinkle Toes Photography

I found this amazing photo while browsing Flickr and just had to click on the photostream! And sure enough... more AMAZING photos!! This photographer out of Austin, Texas does exceptional work and I cant say how much of an understatement that is!! Her photos are so breathtaking and so personal. She captures every emotion in each shot. You can really tell she puts her whole heart and passion into each single photo she takes. They are all truly a work of art, the settings and color choices, the angles, the props, the lighting, the fine tuning and the presentation of the finished work. All just gorgeous!!
I got started much like every other mom who does photography: taking pictures of my kids. I did have a fascination with photography growing up (I used to dress up my dolls and hold photo shoots with my mom's Polaroid camera), but I didn't really know what I was doing at all. And then one day I saw an image from the uber-talented and infinitely inspirational Jinky and decided that I wanted to do that, too. And I just dove in. I bought my first SLR (a Rebel XT), joined groups on Flickr, read EVERYTHING I could, and played, and played, and played until I started getting results I liked. And that's that. I just learned by reading and doing and making a lot of mistakes along the way. Two books that you should read: Understanding ExposurePhotographing Babies and Children (google it...you can't miss 'em).
I have browsed through her photos for hours just to pick a few to post here but there are hundreds more for you to see on her Flickr and her absolutely adorable and beautiful Blog! They are both a MUST SEE!!!

MADART
These wonderful pieces are done by Megan Aroon Duncanson or MADART. Most of her work is very nature inspired and so full of beautiful and bright colors. Her artwork has been featured on Grey's Anatomy in 2008 as well as an independent film. She has also been a featured artist on Art.com. These are a few of her works I liked most.

Megan Aroon Duncanson - Artist Statement
I am a self taught contemporary artist, living out my dream of being able to
create beautiful art as a profession
As long as I can remember I have been drawn to art and have always had a
pencil or brush in hand.
I am constantly trying to find my own unique space in a sea of artists. It is a
daunting task, but I think with my new style of art, as seen on the pages of this
website, I have finally found MY place. It's exhilarating

though I'm doing something totally new and different. A style that I can grow
with and explore all matter of subject and color.
I have endless ideas spinning through my mind, but not enough time to put
them all on paper or canvas; such a shame life is so short, but, I am trying to
make the most of what little time I have to express myself artistically, and reach
out to others with my art. I am a highly prolific Artist and produce literally
hundreds of paintings in a single year. The more I paint the more prolific I
become.I draw my inspiration from nature and everyday subjects around me. Living in one of the most remote places on the planet, the Bush of Alaska, as well as tropical paradise, Hawaii and Florida, has allowed me to use many different aspects in my art to inspire me.
